Twitter have engaged Google in a war of words over the recently launched Search Plus Your World.

The microblogging company has claimed that the social search changes which further integrate content from Google’s social networking project Plus into results are “bad for people” because finding relevant information will be harder for everyone.
Twitter said that latest news which breaks on their site is often the most relevant so the fact that this is no longer available in Google’s search results makes discovering up-to-date content more difficult.
Google disputes these claims by saying that Twitter’s frustration comes from the fact that they chose not to renew an agreement which enabled the newest tweets to feature in the search engine’s results.
This verbal skirmish shows the rising tensions between Google and social networking organisations since the launch of Plus as the search engine tries to muscle in on a market that it does not currently dominate.
