Facebook moved one step closer to World Wide Web domination by overtaking Orkut as the most popular social networking site in Brazil.

Research by analytics agency Comscore revealed that Facebook attracted nearly two million more unique visitors over December than the Google-owned Orkut, which had previously been the most successful social network in the South American country.
The social network new boy Google Plus managed to attract 4.3 million Brazilian visitors in the previous month which might act as some comfort to the search engine giant.
Facebook experienced just over 36 million unique visits in Brazil last month, which represents a 192 per cent year-on-year increase and means that the website has now conquered the Americas, most of Europe and Australia.
There are only a few countries left that have survived the Facebook onslaught with the majority located in Asia and Eastern Europe with China being the biggest opposition having blocked the website completely.
With over one hundred web design London Facebook fans and a presence already on Google Plus, PureBlue are all over the world of social networking.
