National Lottery parent company Camelot has the fastest growing website of the past month thanks to an internet marketing campaign.
Research by UK Online Measurement (UKOM) revealed that the Camelot site experienced the biggest increase in new online visitors in the last month than any other site and that even includes the behemoth that is Facebook.
The Camelot site attracted 4.1 million new users in one month and this apparently was the result of an online campaign for the National Lottery Euromillions draw, which featured on eBay, Amazon and Gumtree.
UKOM general manager James Smythe said that Camelot’s success demonstrates the importance of having an effective internet marketing campaign.
“Better internet accessibility and more new social applications for the internet seem to be the long-term drivers behind these growth sites, but Camelot’s performance illustrates how good online display advertising can also influence behaviour dramatically,” he added.
Web design London firm PureBlue are yet to feature on the list of the fastest-growing online companies but surely it is only a matter of time.
